Brookfield Post Office Closure

Attention Residents: Recently the Brookfield Post Office has closed. Through Councils recommendation Canada Post have tried, but were unsuccessful to find a location to replace said Post Office within Brookfield. Due to the lack of interest, Canada Post have now given the Town of New-Wes-Valley 2 options for our Brookfield residents to make a recommendation on. The options are as follows: 1. Fall Clean-up 2022 Notice

The town would like to remind residents that our 3rd fall clean up week is scheduled for the week of September 12 – 16th. This message is to inform residents as previously communicated that the change from a spring clean up to a fall cleanup has had a significant cost savings to the town. With this cost savings,  monies can be used for other community projects and become a less tax burden to residents. Health Accord NL Task Force

The Town of New Wes Valley has been actively engaged with the Health Accord NL Task Force along with Government officials to address the Health Care in our region along with the physician shortage at the Dr. Y. K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre to ensure our concerns are heard. Main Waterline Flushing

The Town of New-Wes-Valley is advising all residents we will be doing a flush of our main water lines starting on May 16th. There will be daily fluctuations in water pressure while this is being completed. All residents are asked to please CONSERVE WATER. Please DO NOT run washers, dishwashers, garden hoses, etc. between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Once the water line flush is complete you may experience dirty and discolored water for several days. New Beginnings

New Beginnings The Town of New-Wes-Valley has taken responsibility for the The REACH: Bonavista North Museum & Gallery which closed in 2017 due to a lack of volunteers who could continue to make things happen.  Council members are thankful for the dedication of all the past volunteers who worked hard to keep the Museum going until 2017.  Since then, Council members have found the means through funding and community partnerships to completely renovate the outside and inside of the building- all the things the museum & gallery were in need of have been taken care of with respect and affection
