INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed annually on December 3.
Around the world this day focuses on the promotion of awareness relating to issues concerning the inclusion of persons with disabilities at home, work, school and all areas of society.
People with all levels of disabilities face many barriers to important aspects of society. Difficulties with access to transportation, medical care, housing and employment are only a few of those barriers. The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a call for a break down of these barriers to empower and support those with disabilities.
