UPDATE: issued Jan. 4, 2019 @ 10:30 am
Charge Hand has just notified the office that the cross country line will be shut down at 11:00 am in order to facilitate repairs to several leaks which are a contributing factor to the drop in water pressure. Tampering with the valve on Waterline Road has hindered crews from shutting off the water supply and is still being investigated.
While we don’t have an ETA for repairs, please know that our public works crew is doing everything they can to resume water service to those affected. We will have another update at 3 pm this afternoon.
To all residents: please continue to conserve water throughout the day. Avoid running washers, dishwashers etc.
For those without water, the town offers it’s sincerest apologies. Please note that we are doing everything in our power to correct this issue as quickly as possible.
If you have run out of water, please don’t hesitate to stop by the town hall where we can provide you with water for flushing toilets and washing dishes etc.
IMPORTANT NOTICE – issued Jan 3rd, 2019
Please be advise that our Town Employees are currently dealing with a major issue along the Water Line road. An investigation is currently taking place to what appears to be tampering to the valves which is now causing flooding issues in several locations. Some residents may experience loss of water and low pressures while this issue is being resolved. Restoration time is estimated to be 11:00am, January 4th. Another update will be posted at this time. Our apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.
Tampering with Town equipment/property is prohibited and such items will be referred to the local RCMP.
