Water Conservation Notice

With extended periods of dry weather, The Town of New-Wes-Valley would like to remind residents of the importance of the water conservation measures. While our water supply may seem endless the operators have noticed a decline in water levels. That coupled with the ongoing warm temperatures and lack of rain has caused this notice. As a result we are asking residents to conserve water to prevent further decline. Lawn and garden watering with automatic sprinklers can place high and unpredictable demand on the distribution system. Therefore, the use of sprinklers is restricted to the hours of 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Newly installed lawns and landscaping may be watered between 5:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. any day for a period of sixty (60) days following its installation. See below for some practices which could be followed during the Water Conservation.

The situation will be monitored and the guidelines will be adjusted accordingly.

Thank you for your cooperation.
